Last Saturday we played the first ever Birmingham Popfest. As far as we could tell, it ended up being a great success, so well done to The Proctors, who organised it.  We had fun, bringing a few songs back into the set that we hadn’t played for a while, including Lifeskills.  Here’s a video of it.

Because we had to get back up, and down (in Miguel’s case), the road we didn’t get to see all the bands but we did enjoy a few of the bands who played with us on Saturday and stayed up late dancing to DJ Trevor Oddbox.   As with other Popfests, there seemed to be a healthy mix of people we know and new faces, and the puddles of beer on the dancefloor at the end of the night testified to it being a good day.

Our next gig is at Copenhagen Popfest, where we’ll be bringing even more old favourites back into the set, plus maybe a song we’ve never played live before…
